Our Services

We start with a comprehensive evaluation. That includes listening carefully to what’s happening in your life. We then develop a treatment plan. Your treatment plan may include (but not be limited to):

Interventional Pain Management with Local Anesthesia and Steroids

  • Lumbar epidural steroid injections for low back pain, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, failed back surgery syndrome, and osteoarthritis
  • Trigger point injections for localized discrete pain
  • Sacroiliac injections for sacroiliac pain
  • Peripheral nerve blocks for nerve distribution pain
  • Facet joint injections for facet related pain
  • Joint injections for arthritis or bursitis

Medication Management

Virginia laws and regulations require close monitoring of medications. Patients will sign a Controlled Substance Agreement before any prescription is written. We also do drug testing. Medication can be an appropriate part of treatment for your pain and we understand the need for these medications. We work with our patients to develop an effective treatment plan for managing your pain.

Other Treatments

We recognize that pain can be impacted by many aspects of life, including stress, poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking, alcohol use, poor sleep patterns, family support and involvement, and your personal commitment to following your treatment plan as prescribed. This is what makes it so important to treat the whole person. We provide a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management so that you can address the factors that could be contributing to your pain.
